Wonderful Journey to Ushiku Daibutsu

Day 23rd Jan 2010, was decided to travel to ushiku daibutsiu,this is listed in Guiness Book of World records as the highest Buddha statue in the world,towering a full 120 m into the sky.
I started my journey from getting up early in weekend reaching the station not on time asusal delayed by 30 min i.e. 9.30am, guess what my friends who were supposed to join were late too :).
By Train: Kawasaki stn --->(Tokaido line) Tokyo -->(Kehin-Tohuko line) Ueno-- >(JR Joban line)-->Ushiku .Phew !!! pretty long but yeahh we reached at 12.00pm.I read the blog about this it said platform 1 , soon we reached there ,it was correct we had a bus direct to Daibutsu.(500￥).Once we reached there i was really amazed by looking at such a huge construction of buddha.

The great image of Amida Buddha,which stands in the centre of Jodo Teien garden,is 120 m high symbolic  of the 12 beams of light said to emanate from Amida's body and reach throughout the body and reach throughout the world.

Here you can go upto 85m above the ground taking an elevator, its said Daibutsu of Nara is 14.9 m high,i.e Daibutsu of Nara can be on the palm of Ushiku Daibatsu.

After this , my journey doesnt end , i heard from my friend close to Ushiku , there is a Factory outlet which you should not miss.We reached back to Ushiku station , where we inquired about AMY OUTLET PARK, it came to be journey via train and bus.
Ushiku--->Arakawaoki(8 min), from there you can find bus to AMY outlet(20 min). Once we reached there we found Daibutsu is close by ,i wish we had car we could have save lot of time.Outlet was very good ranging from GAP,DIESEL,FOSSIL,COACH,LEGO etc ... and very good deals.Now its time to head back to home ... completed the journey with dinner at Tokyo Dhaba and getting details for next trip ;)

 Travelled again to AMI outlet this time in a car with 806 and my roommates friends who got car :)
Was a quick journey, covered 180 km journey round trip in some hours :)
Nothing much shopping but good time pass , nice journey.
